WOW card 11/6/2013

November 6, 2013

Good Evening!

It has been quite a while since I had the opportunity to sit down and create a card.  I've taken on a new job, and have been putting in a lot of hours.  Today marked my first 14 hour day!  Wow (lol)- I am sooo tired!  However, I have to admit I was motivated by the white on white card contest which to me spells lace and romance!  After playing a little, I felt this card was a perfect fit for the JustRite challenge, and I just had to post it before I crashed and fell asleep! For the contest rules, please go to  JustRite Friday Challenge #109 - It's WOW!.

Card Recipe:

I created my card using Stampin Up Whisper White cardstock, and a satin white cardstock from Hobby Lobby.  The dies I used were Spellbinders Resplendent Rectangles, and Spellbinders Rose die.  The stamp was JustRite stamp "Signs of Life".  I chose "Your Friendship means the World to me".  This card was made for a very special friend of mine who has been there for me thru thick and thin!
I also added some bling, half pearls in white, and some white stamens for added interest.  I love how the JustRite stamp fit perfectly in the oval, allowing me room for the roses.

I hope you like this card!

Thinking of You!

Thinking of You!
Welcome to my garden of paper petals. Nothing makes happier than giving a card to someone who treasures it. A friend of mine loves the color purple, so for her birthday, I made her a card with a large purple mum as the center, with light colored purple daisies, some dark purple flowers for depth, and some baby's breath as filler. My friend just loved the card, and has it showcased in a shadow box from Michael's. She couldn't wait to show me what she had done. Imagine my surprise when I walked into her family room, and there on the wall was my card hanging up on the wall. It looks beautiful! I hope you all enjoy it!

More to come ......

I am very new at this blog business, and it has taken me much longer than I anticipated to post my information, so please bear with me, as this "garden" is a definite work in progress!

Paper Hugs,
