Joans's Gardens JG1206

A Vintage Blue and White Victorian Christmas Card - Joan's Gardens #JG1206

I love Joan's Gardens!  The contests (when I have time to take part in them) really gets my creative juices flowing.  This week's contest requires you to use something oval, use an embossing folder, make a blue and white card and add a ribbon (maybe a bow).  Blue is one of my absolute all time favorite colors, and I love it paired with white.  But for a Christmas card? I would have never thought to associate these colors with Christmas.... but as the card came together, I started liking it more and more.  Can you find the bow?  It is tucked in among the poinsettias ....

  3. Noticed you other beautiful cards on your blog. Love what you did with the flowers and I love the Martha Stewart Holly Leave punch. Wonder if it is still available. I come from Colorado and lived in Denver back in the 70s. Was just there 2 years ago for a wedding in Golden. Love your clematis flowers on your blog.

Thinking of You!

Thinking of You!
Welcome to my garden of paper petals. Nothing makes happier than giving a card to someone who treasures it. A friend of mine loves the color purple, so for her birthday, I made her a card with a large purple mum as the center, with light colored purple daisies, some dark purple flowers for depth, and some baby's breath as filler. My friend just loved the card, and has it showcased in a shadow box from Michael's. She couldn't wait to show me what she had done. Imagine my surprise when I walked into her family room, and there on the wall was my card hanging up on the wall. It looks beautiful! I hope you all enjoy it!

More to come ......

I am very new at this blog business, and it has taken me much longer than I anticipated to post my information, so please bear with me, as this "garden" is a definite work in progress!

Paper Hugs,
